Have your say on 500 homes and school plan for Chickerell
A public exhibition is being held on Friday January 25 about proposals for more than 500 homes at Chickerell.
Persimmon Homes South Coast is proposing to build about 520 homes and a primary school together with roads, public open space and sports facilities in the area.
The development is proposed to the east of Chickerell, close to the Chickerell link road. The site is in the local plan for residential development.
A spokesman said: “We are holding a public exhibition in order to give people the opportunity to view proposals for the development of land east of Chickerell.
“We are currently seeking the opinions of interested parties on the proposals to provide around 520 new homes, a primary school, public open space and sports facility for the area.”
People unable to attend the exhibition can can email email@example.com or send written comments to Persimmon Homes, 100 Wickham Road, Fareham, PO16 7HT.
The plans for more than 500 homes, if approved would help provide much needed housing plus accompanying facilities and infrastructure.
Opening Doors aims to encourage the construction of 20,000 homes in north, south and west Dorset by 2033.
