Christmas can be a good time to take stock if you are thinking about buying or renting a new home.

Some developers and housebuilders will be open for business over the festive break. They include CG Fry, which has sales offices at Poundbury and Grey’s Field at Chickerell open between December 28 to 30 from 10am to 4pm.

Although there have been forecasts from the Bank of England about house prices crashing in the event of a ‘no deal’ Brexit, it must  be pointed out that this is a worst case scenario and that not all experts agree with the Bank’s analysis.

Recent forecasts from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) show that house prices will remain largely level in 2019.
